FAQs

Do you offer in-person sessions or virtual only?

I offer virtual therapy sessions, which are conducted via a HIPAA-compliant video service.

Due to state to state restrictions, virtual therapy clients must reside in Georgia.

Is virtual therapy right for me?

Virtual therapy offers flexibility and accessibility ideal for those with busy schedules, mobility restrictions or those seeking therapy from the comfort of their own homes. Many clients who find it challenging to visit an office, have time constraints or personal preferences find virtual therapy quite beneficial.

It is important to consider that virtual therapy requires you to secure a private space where you feel safe to openly express yourself with access to a reliable internet connection. It may also feel different from in-person interactions.

If you are unsure whether virtual therapy is a good fit for you, I am happy to offer a brief consultation to discuss any specific needs or concerns. Together, we can determine the best path forward to support your journey.

What is your availability?

I am available to see clients midday Wednesdays and Thursdays.

How long are the sessions? How often do we meet?

I offer the following session times:

  • Individual Intake sessions are 75-min.

  • Standard Individual sessions are 50-min.

  • Standard couple/family sessions are 50-min.

Longer sessions may be available upon request.

My approach to therapy is collaborative and that includes how we determine the frequency of our sessions. Ideally, we will establish a frequency that is consistent and honors your therapeutic goals, affordability and accessibility. I do find it valuable to meet more frequently (ie. weekly or biweekly) during the early stages of therapy. During this time, we will be building a therapeutic relationship, which is essential in having a successful experience. ‘

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, I ask that you provide 24-hour notice. I can be reached via email or phone. If you miss a session without canceling, or cancel with less than 24-hour notice, my policy is to collect the full amount for our scheduled session.

Do you accept insurance? What are your rates?

Our practice functions based on a self-pay system and we do not accept insurance. We have chosen this approach because it provides us with the ability to offer our clients more personalized care without being limited by the constraints that are often imposed by insurance providers. Our clients have found that this system offers greater flexibility and privacy during their therapy sessions. If you are concerned about the costs, we would be more than happy to discuss our fee structure and explore options to accommodate your needs.

You can find more about our rates on our services page. You can also reach out to us for a direct quote.

*STANDARD NOTICE

“Right to Receive a Good Faith Estimate of Expected Charges” Under the No Surprises Act

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
